Final Paper
- Due Dec 14, 2015 by 2:59am
- Points 24
- Submitting a file upload
- File Types pdf
Submit your final paper. You may submit this paper anytime prior to the due date. (I will also accept "late" papers without penalty until Sunday, December 13, 11:59pm PDT, which is when we will have to distribute them for peer evaluation. No work will be accepted after that time.)
The paper should adhere to these specifications:
- PDF file format.
- Maximum of 1250 words per group member (i.e., if you are group of two, you may submit a maximum of 2500 words.) Less is more though, given you can make your argument. Any references/citations at the end of your document do not count against your word count.
- You may use as many exhibits as you'd like. However, please include them in the flow of the document oriented properly, as these will be read on-line and flipping to the back and/or rotating is inconvenient.
- Avoid fluffy cover sheets. Start with a title, the names of the authors, the date, and the word count. Then, dive right into the paper.
- The text should begin with a sentence something like "This paper answers the question " (That is, clearly state the question you are answering in the first paragraph.)
Grading criteria:
- Is the question clear, related to technology strategy, and real/current?
- Did you answer the question convincingly?
- Does the paper bring to bear the relevant concepts, tools, and methods from MGMT 731?
- Is the paper well written and free of mechanical/grammatical errors, including nicely designed exhibits?
I am somewhat picky about data graphics. You may wish to study my instructional module on the subject.
Here are some papers that earned 22-24 points in a prior session:
Impact of Patent War on Innovation vFinal.pdf (but skip the first two pages of fluff)
