You may find this NYT article on the Amazon Fire phone interesting.

You may find Microsoft's strategy deck interesting as well, and a current update on how their mobile business is faring.

    Consider these questions:

    1. How many operating systems can thrive in the mobile computing/smart phone market?
    2. Why did Google enter the mobile computing operating system business with Android?
    3. If you were leading Microsoft/Nokia, what would be your strategy for the mobile computing business?
    4. Why does Xiaomi appear to be doing so well, while Microsoft, Nokia, Blackberry, and Amazon have faltered?

Submit your short answer (100-200 words) to either Question 3 or Question 4. (NB: if you answered my question about Amazon before I edited these study questions, that's fine...no worries.)
