DON'T STORE ANSWER KEYS, GRADE DATA, OR OTHER SENSITIVE MATERIAL IN THE "FILES" AREA.

Don't store media in the "Files" area .
Don't use the "Files" area to share content with students; this area is just for Teachers, TAs, Designers, and Librarians. Before you publish the site, hide the Files button by following these instructions.
Don't use your Canvas site as a storage locker--only add what you will use and occasionally check for outdated material.
Save all files somewhere outside of Canvas (Penn+Box, Google Drive, Your PC, etc) as a backup. A good practice is one offline storage option and one online storage option in addition to Canvas.

Recommended: Try hiding the Files button in one of your Canvas sites before moving ahead.
