This is a team assignment to be completed in your team of two.
Create a proof of concept prototype of your product for the pitch!
In class today you will have 2 minutes total to present your prototype and exactly 2 slides. You can submit two slides (max) for this assignment. If you submit more than two slides, we will only include the first two slides in the pitch. Your slides must include:
- A nice, clear photograph of your product prototype
- The name of your product
- All team member's names, first and last
- Core user needs you identified and how your product addresses them
- The focus of this pitch is to gauge how many of your classmates would "purchase" your product. So feel free to include anything else that will convey a compelling story about your product and/or that the needs you identified are deeply and widely felt.
- Your pitch should not include financial projections, funding strategies, or manufacturing costs.
We will compile all the slides into a single deck that Prof. Ashley will share during the pitches. We will make you aware of the order of the presentations in an announcement shortly before class. Within your 2 minutes, you are more than welcome to demonstrate your physical prototype.
Lastly, after the pitches we will compile all the slides into a online feedback poll. A small portion of your grade for this assignment will be reflective of the ratings you receive in this poll. Generally higher ratings are reflective of products and prototypes that are more refined and fulfill deeply and widely felt user needs.
Submit to this assignment:
- Your two pages/slides in .pdf format.
Please note that this is a time-sensitive assignment and as such is not eligible for 25% credit for a late submission. If you submit any time after the due date and time, you will receive 0 points.
